We had our third, and best so far, Ladies Tactical Shooters Match on Saturday, June 28th, at 10 am.  We had 8 ladies shooting; two in Sharpshooter and 6 in Marksman.  We had one new shooter, and for the 2nd match in a row, the new shooter won her class.  Way to go Ramona!  We were lucky that the weather held and even had a nice breeze blowing for most of the match.  We had 4 stages and started doing magazine changes this month.  Everybody handled it like it was something they had been doing all along.  There were a variety of positions from kneeling to sitting to pushing a baby buggy to shooting from behind the car.  I held a question and answer session during a mid-match break and we discussed a variety of guns, holsters, magazine holders,  and the basic equipment that all new shooters need. Congratulations to all of the ladies for having a SAFE and FUN match.

We want to give a special thank you to Greg Swim for helping Sherry and I to set up the stages.  More thanks to Kevin Kelly for helping RO and score.  Also thanks to Cindy, Ramona, and Sharon for helping to finish the stages and Florence and her son, Ray, for helping us store the targets from today so they could be reused for tomorrow's IDPA match.  Ray was also invaluable as our main target-paster throughout the entire match.  We all had a lot of fun, and the ladies who are just starting, have come a long way in only 3 months.  We hope to see more ladies out for the month of July.  Our next match will be on July 26th; registration starts at 9:00 am and the match starts at 10:00 am.
