We receive $2,500.00 grant from the Friends of the Nation Rifle Association for 6 new shooting benches and shoot houses for the skeet range.

MODIFIED TRAP:    Match Results 8 Feb 2009

Good turn out on a beautiful day! The first round was "Coming at ya and Going away" with one machine down range launching at the shooter and another launching from the trailer. It got exciting sometimes as shooter would wait until the last moment to shoot the incoming bird. Powder it or duck! The second round was "Crossing shots" with birds coming alternately from the left and right. Much fun was had by all!

LADIES TACTICAL SHOOTERS MATCH  was canceled due to impending severe weather.  Please ladies, if at all possible show up next month!

Even though it was a little nippy in the morning, it turned out to be a great day for shooting.  12 hearty souls braved the wind.  The match was a variety of a standard, a house surprise, steel challenge, two quickie stages, and a regular car stage.  A lot of variety and good training.  Thanks to Tom Disanto for inviting Bob Campbell, from Ontario, Canada.  Bob thought IDPA was a lot of fun and he told us a lot about gun rights and the fact that they have very few in Canada.  Thanks to Tom Iten for writing Bob a letter so he could get his gun across the border, along with 7 other permits. Bob said that if they had had the NRA they might be enjoying the freedoms that we have so we should all support them with everything we have before it is too late.  Just another reminder of how important the NRA is.

USPSA:  14 Feb 2009 Valentine's Day 3 Gun Match was cancelled due to rain.

SPECIALTY MATCH:      BULLSEYE SPECIALTY MATCH RESULTS - FEB 2009

February's specialty match was Bullseye Pistol.  Several new people came out to try this one-handed shooting including the Schroll Gang.  The weather was cool with just threatening rain, but a great day for shooting.  We were pleased with the turn-out which was higher than normal.  Bill Stokes did a great job of running the match and we added another $90 to the range fund.  Make sure to come out next month for the Police Qualification Specialty Match on March 15th which will be run by Ray Dillon.  Look for a note from Ray before the match for general match rules.
