FYI:  ALL RANGES ARE AT CEASE FIRE DURING THE MONTHLY MEETING!

1.  The Training Facility is now complete.  The building committee will be steam cleaning the floor and sealing it.  The Facility will be closed at that time for a week to let the floor dry and set.  The doors will be locked and yellow tape up with signs outside on the doors.  We still have a lot of work to do on the inside.  Should you have a special talent and are willing to help please let the Building Committee know.

2.  The Pro Shop will be open one hour after the General Membership Meeting.  We have all sizes and color of hats and shirts for both men and women.  Operation of the Pro Shop is run by Ray Dillon, Norman Stellner, and Bill Stokes.  Should you need clays, T-shirts or hats please be there after the General Membership meeting when the Pro Shop is open.  Should one of the above referenced persons be at the range at any other time, they would be happy to open the Pro Shop for you to buy clays or any other item.  If they are not at the range do not call them and expect them to come to the range to open especially for you.  Please plan ahead so you can get what you need at the monthly meetings.  Right now the Pro Shop is in the last building on the skeet range.

3.  Lock and Load, an indoor range off Rucker Blvd, had its grand opening on November 7, 2009.  Lock an Load will give Tri-State Gun Club members 10% off range time if you present your club membership card.

4.  The gate combination has been changed.  Please contact Sharon at the above telephone number or e-mail address and I will provide the combination to all current members.

5.  We still looking for a new Range Master.  In the meantime, please assist in keeping the range policed while you are out there.  Put trash in the trash bins, pick up trash you see around the range.  Grass always needs to be cut.  We have a ride on lawn mower or a push mower on the pistol range.  And PLEASE do not put plastic bottles in the burn rings!  Put paper products only.

We are looking for one or two people to replace the target boards as needed.  Target boards need to be replaced regularly.  We have all the materials at the range.  If anyone is interested please contact one of the Board of Directors.

 10.  The Ladies Tactical Match started up again in October.  The Ladies Tactical Match is not a match per say.  It is a class to educate ladies, of all ages, in gun safety.  Please tell all your lady friends, wives and daughters to come on out and have some fun.  We welcome first time shooters.   If you do not have a weapon we always share or have extras.  Safety is our number one priority.

Next months match will be a 3-gun match.  Look on our web-site for the great stages planned.

SPECIALTY MATCH:

The Specialty Match will begin next month.  The match fee is $10.00.  This specialty match brings in the most money for the Club.  One hundred percent of the profits from this match go to the Club.

This is a good match to get acquainted with match rules and procedures.  It is a good match for beginners in a relaxed atmosphere.  If you would like to come out and shoot and do not have the equipment, there is always members will to share their equipment and ammo.

For each specialty match you shoot you will receive a chance in a random drawing for the 2009 NRA Statute next October.  There are also trophies for the top shooters.     Come on out and try it and have a great time!

WOMEN’S TACTICAL SHOOTING:  This match takes place the forth (4th) Saturday of each month.

Although the day was a little cold and breezy, it turned out to be a great match.  Fighting monster worms, aliens, werewolves, and mummies was a great way to introduce our new ladies to the shooting world.  We had four new ladies shooting with us and I think that they will be returning.  We had a total of 9 ladies and hope to have even more next month.  Next month's match will be on November 28th so come out and have some fun and bring all of your visiting relatives.

IDPA MATCH RESULTS:

The IDPA Match is focused more on disciple and is not as fast pasted as most matches we have.  IDPA Matches are the forth (4th) Sunday of every month.

Today was FUN day!  A group of 15 hardy & brave souls battled and was victorious over ghouls, werewolves, aliens, mummies, and monster worms.  I think that it is safe to say that we all had a great time and it was a treat to just shoot for fun, and believe me the penalty for not neutralizing the werewoves was heavy.  The next match will be a regular IDPA match and John Johnson and Grady Wiggins will be the Match Directors.  Come out and see what they have cooked up!
