In a surprise invasion, the Schroll family came out for our Glock-Style Match, which increased our numbers.  The match started out great, but due to the high number of participants, we finished up 30 minutes past dark.  Kudos to all of the people who shot their last plates in the dark, using only the headlights from trucks.  We really appreciate the Schroll family, all 5 of them, for coming out to support our specialty match. Norman Stellner was the Match Director and the lead range officer, assisted by Bill Stokes, Ray Dillon, David Turner and Gerald Bonds.  $210.00 was raised for our Range Fund, which brings our total to $393.00 in just 2 matches.

Again, We really enjoyed your clan shooting with us. Great shooters and nice people always add to a fun day.

The rules for the cowboy are not set yet, Bob Lynch will MD that and we will post the general rules and stages as soon as possible. The purpose of the specialty matches are,of course to raise money for the range fund but the main reason is good fun and a chance for all club members to shoot in a relaxed atmospere. As such, rules are very friendly and we do whatever is necessary to help that (short of safety of course). That said, if you only have the one rifle (and that one is fine), we will set you up to all shoot that or there will be many more there that you can use.

ps. I try to shoot in all of them, I'm just a little more lucky in pistol matches. Although these younger shooters are running over me for some reason,( maybe eyes and nerves). I don't care about being a master in any style but I want to be proficient in all.
