We will have 2 stages, a close quarters battle (CQB) stage with up close to 100 yd targets and a sniper stage with 50 to 125. Equipment will be any rifle, any sights (including .22 rimfire). Different rifles can be used on each stage.
The only restriction is on the CQB stage, no bullets larger than .30 cal and no steel in bullets (jackets or cores). This is to protect our steel targets which will be used on the stage. The sniper stage will be all paper (or cardboard) and any caliber through .50 will be allowed.
The QCB stage will require 12 rounds and will be scored by hit factor (score devided by time). There will be 4 steel targets at 100 yds which must be engaged from an inclined position and 8 IPSC targets along the right berm which will be visible only up close.
The sniper stage will be a par time event (2.00 minutes) from the time you're given a green light. There will be two shooting positions. One from behind a wall in a kneeling or sitting position (can use a chair) and the second from a prone position (mat and sandbag will be provided). The last four targets will be bullseye targets with a 2/3/4 inch outer ring (1 point), 1 3/4" ring (5 point), and a 1" bullseye (10 points) and a 3/8" x ring (15 points).
Cost is $10 for first entry and $5.00 for each time after that. Best combined QCB and Sniper run will count for speciality points. Examples of equipment combinations (QCB-Mini14, sniper-.22 bolt action; QCB-Ar-15 iron sights, sniper-Rem 700 .300 Win Mag, 20 power scope).
This should be a lot of fun to shoot and watch. Here is the stage design:
