TSGC MATCHES


1st Sunday of the month:

Falling Plate Match

Start time is 10:00 A.M. but late arrivals are welcome.

Rim fire Pistol or Rifle

Any center fire pistol of 45 ACP or lower power factor, no center fire rifle or carbine

2 options:           

Falling Plates course of fire:

    Plates engaged from 10yds, 15 yds, 20 yds and 25 yds

   Time limit for each string, shots limited

   Shoot 12 plates from each distance, 48 plates total per match

Speed Option using the GSSF "Glock the Plates" course of fire:

   4 timed strings of 6 plates each from 11 yards


2nd Saturday of the month:

Air Rifle Match

Start time: 09:00

The match that will be shot will be American Airgun Field Target.

It is a match that will be shot at steel targets that must fall down when hit. The targets are steel animals that are about 10 inches tall with a hole that varies from 3/8 inch to 1.5 inches in diameter, you have to shoot through this hole to hit a paddle that will cause the target to fall down. The target is reset by pulling a string that is near the shooting station. The distance to the target must be estimated by the shooter and varies from 10 yards to 55 yards, you will shoot at each target 2 times for a total of 42 shots. The match should take about 2 to 3 hours to fire if we have 10-14 participants and will be shot at the back of the camping area.

 

2nd Sunday of the month:

Extremely Modified Trap /Sporting Clays

Start time 12:00  Shooting until everyone is done!
First time shooters free!
Cost: $10 1st round / $5 for each successive round
Any shotgun:  if you don't have one we will loan you one. Rich usually is happy to loan his 10ga. Only hurts a couple of days...
Instances of emotional outbursts, depression, extreme embarassment, and public humiliation are usually rare, most of the time we just talk bad about each other...
Come join us. It is big time fun. You may win bragging rights for the month! We'll still talk bad about you though.

                    

4th Saturday of the month:

United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) Match.

Set up 8:00 am, Match starts 10:00 AM.

IDPA:  Parking Lot Scenario

4th Sunday of the month:

International Defensive Pistol Association        (IDPA) Match.

Set-up begins at 8:00 AM
Match begins at 10:00 PM
Use concealed or every day carry handguns
No lasers, scopes, or optical sights
Courses of fire simulating defensive situations
Approximately 50 to 100 rnds. per match
IDPA rules apply
Defensive Multi Gun matches are held quarterly (Use handgun, along with either a shotgun, or a semi-auto rifle).
